Raising Skills & Giving Opportunities
Working with your Union's purpose, not against it
Students want to change the world, help people and make a difference. Student fundraising, ‘RAG’, raising and giving and charity rags have been central to student life for hundreds of years.
Students’ unions are charities and must work within their charitable purpose - this impacts on how students do fundraising activities. Sometimes the limits of this can be confusing and put students’ unions off saying ‘yes’ to fundraising activities!
We want to see student fundraising continue and we want students’ unions to be able to empower exciting, fun, inclusive fundraising activities. The Raising Skills & Giving Opportunities training is designed to ease the worries and encourage SUs to embrace student fundraising.
