Student Leader Focus Groups: Outdoor Pursuits Safety Programme
Organised Fun are running a series of online focus groups bringing together leaders of student groups from across the UK who are involved in outdoor pursuits. We’d love you to take part.
These conversations will help us understand what it’s like to lead outdoor activities through your students’ union - exploring how things work in practice, what support and systems are in place, and where there’s room for improvement.
The insights you share will directly inform a new safety standards guide for outdoor pursuits in students’ unions, helping to improve experiences for future student leaders and participants across the UK.
Each focus group will bring together student leaders with a shared activity interest, so you’ll be joined by others involved in similar clubs and societies.
Focus group dates and times:
Paddlesports focus group - 11th November (11:00 - 12:00)
Climbing focus group - 11th November (12:45 - 1:45)
Caving focus group - 11th November (14:15 - 15:15)
Hill walking & mountaineering focus group - 11th November (15:45 - 16:45)
Open water or wild swimming focus group - 14th November (14:00 - 15:00)
Surfing focus group - 14th November (15:30 - 16:30)
All sessions will take place online via Google Meet.
