Digital Events

with Organised Fun

We love bringing people together online to network, learn and celebrate. We started off as specialists in Student Opportunities and our background is based in values-driven, community-led organisations. We understand that events must be inclusive and impactful and want to help other organisations to get this right.

If you’re interested in working with us to host an online event of any kind. Please email us for a free conversation - we’d love to hear your ideas and see how we can help!

Power of Youth Festival

We produced the Power of Youth Festival during #iwillWeek 2020 for Step up to Serve. The #iwill campaign, supported by over 1,000 organisations from across the UK, aims to make participation in social action – such as volunteering, fundraising, mentoring and campaigning – the norm for young people aged 10 to 20.

The #PowerOfYouth Festival included over 40 events, 1,000s of attendees and many high-profile speakers.

You can watch some of the events on the Festival website.

Our involvement

We led on the overall project management of the Festival, including:

  • Speaker liaison

  • Managing the website creation (working with a web development agency)

  • Risk management

  • Creating bespoke, high-quality broadcasts for events happening throughout the week

  • Audience support and live chat

National Societies & Volunteering Awards

Combining what was the National Societies Awards and the Student Volunteer of the Year, the NSVAs recognise the awesome things students do everyday with their societies and volunteering programmes. Organised Fun didn’t want to see the National Societies Awards disappear in 2020 so we took on the management of this project.

The National Societies & Volunteering Awards will happen every year as a celebratory party which showcase student talent. The event will always include students wherever possible; student groups performing on stage, student artists creating the trophies and students overseeing the event planning.

Through online showcasing, student leaders, staff and sabbatical officers can find inspiration to take back to their projects. Student opportunities improve through sharing good ideas, networking and learning through seeing things first-hand.

Our involvement

The NSVAs are fully managed by Organised Fun. We worked closely with the Student Volunteering Network (SVN) and created an NSVAs Oversight Team to ensure the awards were reflective of the sector.

We worked with design agency Phoenix Creative who produced the NSVAs brand.

Student Opportunities Festival

A collaboration between the Student Volunteering Network, the Student Publication Association, the Student Radio Association, the National Student Television Association, the National Student Fundraising Association and Organised Fun.

A digital festival for everyone involved in Student Opportunities; student volunteers, committees, sabbatical officers and staff. With over 1,300 attendees, 120 speakers and 80 sessions over 7 days.

The Student Opportunities Festival came about in response to the COVID-19 Pandemic. We had to cancel the in-person event for the NSVAs and the other organisations above had to postpone or cancel their annual conferences and awards. We all felt it was essential to still bring people together to network and develop. Hence #StudentOppsFest became a reality!

Our involvement

We brought everyone together and Chaired the event management meetings for the Festival. Over just 2-months the idea became a reality. The Festival had over 35 volunteers on the committee and we worked with Native who created the web platform for the events.

Organised Fun project managed all Festival production and our small team hosted 80 sessions across the 7-day Festival.
